Alabama Student Assistance Program
(ASAP)

ASAP is a need-based grant administered by Alabama Commission on Higher Education (ACHE).   Students may receive $300 to $5,000 per academic year.  Institutions use the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine eligibility.  The FAFSA can be completed at https://studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa.  ASAP funds are disbursed directly to participating institutions, which are responsible for awarding the grant to eligible students.  For question regarding your eligibility for ASAP,  please contact your institution’s Financial Aid Office.
